World’s Best Bloopers

Bloopers are the continuity errors and other mistakes that have not been noticed by editors, directors or producers of a program (usually a film or a TV show). The funny bloopers are normally noticed by viewers when the show is telecasted to the public. The funny mistakes are done by the members of the cast and crew. The funny bloopers, otherwise called outtakes are sometimes shown at the end of comedy movies. For e.g., popular actors like Jackie Chan used to include the cast mistakes and funny incidents at the end of the movies. The funny bloopers and cast mistakes can also be subject of television shows. In 1950s, Kermit Schaefer, an American TV producer, produced a long-running series on funny bloopers, connecting the actual incidents of cast mistakes and some remixes.

There are different causes which results in a funny blooper. Actors usually have to memorize a large number of dialogues or they will have to act in quick succession. This can result in cast mistakes. Likewise, newsreaders do some mistakes pronouncing the name of places or people without realizing it. This is because they have to deliver large amount of information in limited time. There is a saying that “Never works with children or animals”; they will result in cast mistakes and funny bloopers. Children, have no acting experience, often deliver the wrong lines or make comments which are not in the script. Like that, animals may go wrong. Malfunctioning of electronic objects may result in funny bloopers.

Cast mistakes can happen in every field like movies, sports, television shows etc. Even if the casting crew is well prepared, one cannot rule out the chance of cast mistakes while the making of a program. Cast mistakes can happen due to many reasons. Malfunctioning of camera or a vehicle of the production crew can result in cast mistakes. Similarly silly accidents can culminate in cast mistakes. Even mistimed sound effect or wrong functioning of microphone can end up in cast mistakes.

When an announcer while delivering the billboard for a newscast announces “And now, stay stewed for the nudes" when actually he mean "...stay tuned for the news.”, it is a good example of funny bloopers.

Another good example for funny bloopers was when Mayor Daley of Chicago was being interviewed on TV following the riots during the Democratic convention. The mayor stated, 'The police in Chicago are not here to create disorder, they are here to preserve it. I hope I don't create or preserve any disorder in my presentation today.'

Sports bloopers happen very fast that if you are not watching closely you might miss the incident. The viewers have to be lucky to notice the funny blooper.

Web sites like You tube provide the audience with a wide range of funny bloopers .While watching your favorite game you are likely to notice at least one funny blooper. One incident is when the game gets tight, players come closer and the two players upon defending each posts suddenly bumps each other and almost come face to face with each other.

The Discovery Channel telecasts a series named Myth Busters, which used to include some funny bloopers of the actual episodes, like some minor injuries caused to the cast or crew, some other accidents and malfunctions, which are usually quite unexpected during the show.
